Founded five years ago in the serene town of Nosara, Costa Rica. Series Ninja began as a dedicated provider of tutoring and group classes for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) exam.
Recognizing a broader need for dynamic and engaging financial education, we expanded our focus to specialize in comprehensive support and training for various FINRA securities exams, including the SIE, Series 6, 7, 63, 65, and 66.
With over 10,000 hours of personalized one-on-one tutoring and a track record of helping more than 1,000 students successfully pass their exams, Series Ninja has become a trusted partner in financial services education.

Meet the Series Ninja
 Tim Ford, CFP®
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Tim brings extensive real-world financial expertise, having spent nearly a decade at TIAA, a Fortune 100 retirement services provider. During his tenure there as a senior consultant, Tim trained the firm's Wealth Management advisors and also served directly as a financial advisor for four years. His career began as a stockbroker at Scottrade, a Missouri-based broker-dealer.
Tim holds a finance degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and started his professional journey working as an Economic Development Coordinator for the Peace Corps, experiences that provided him with discipline, adaptability, and a global perspective. After achieving professional success, Tim chose to take an "early retirement," moving with his two young children to the idyllic paradise of Nosara, Costa Rica, where he founded Series Ninja five years ago.
With numerous FINRA exams and the prestigious CFP® designation under his belt, Tim knows firsthand the challenges of balancing intense exam preparation with life's responsibilities. Rejecting outdated textbooks and uninspired lectures, he has created dynamic, engaging courses designed to make exam preparation efficient and enjoyable.
